Duschdor was founded in 2003 as a limited company and one-man operation. At that time, our product was not yet available on the Swiss market and was therefore eagerly awaited.
2003
The idea of a glass shower business is born out of a friendship with an inventor and manufacturer in Sweden and founded in Switzerland as "Duschdor GmbH, bodeneben duschen". The company is based in Hergiswil NW.
2005
A small showroom is set up in Ebikon to show customers the showers in the flesh.
2006
First major contract for a development in Central Switzerland received and completed.
2007
Office and own exhibition on 100m2 in the Mirage Center in Stans.
2008
The already successful "LINC" shower series (wall profiles) is complemented by the "ARC" series (designer fittings).
2009
The first major construction trade fair in Zurich is visited and successfully completed. Many resulting orders make it possible to employ a fitter. The first range adjustments are planned, as the shower market is constantly changing. Additional glass suppliers are considered so that delivery times can be improved.
2010
First own brochure is printed and distributed at the building fair in Wettingen. The company moves into new storage facilities.
2012
Additional employees can be hired.
2013
Duschdor GmbH is converted into a public limited company and renamed.
Tobias Birrer becomes the owner of the new company: Duschdor AG - einfach duschen.
Glass splashbacks are added to the product range, initially as glass splashbacks in the kitchen area - then as glass splashbacks with color or pictures for the shower area.
A new website is launched and a new brochure is printed.
2014
Own niche box for glass rear walls in the shower area is developed and produced.
2015
The range is streamlined and revised, SEC series (flush fittings) are introduced.
2016
The company moves into new premises (Riedenmatt 4, 6370 Stans). The central location with showroom, office and warehouse is now clearly laid out and modern. New IT and operating system is introduced.
2017
Internet presence is revised, new brochure for towel dryers is printed.
2018
New exhibition stand is built, new brochure and new shower line (SEC series) is introduced.
Glass splashbacks with LED lighting are added to the range.
Additional sliding door line (THOR) is introduced - new glass variants are added to the range.
Vehicle fleet (project manager / sales) is switched to electric vehicles
2020
Better delivery times are realized thanks to increased cooperation with large glass processors from Switzerland.
2021
Additional suppliers are tested and checked, the exhibition is rebuilt.
2022
New shower systems (ARC Flamea / SEC Pavone) are added to the range and supplement the existing series.
